April 15, 2020 Medical Girl Mystical World (The Lighter Side Network) Sairey was a guest on this one-hour program discussing death and dying with host Dr. Julia Spinolo. Sairey talked about the emotional and spiritual changes people go through when confronted with the deaths of those they love. She shared the wisdom she has gleaned from her clients going through grief and her thoughts on what is truly important in our lives. December 21, 2018 Wise Women Speak: Giving Voice to Grief (Episode 28) Sairey speaks about the transformative process of grieving in this thirty-minute podcast with hosts Linda Pritcher and Lana Bastianutti. December 9, 2018 Loss, Death, and Transformation - Reflections on Mortality Through Literature and Experience Sairey Luterman was a guest speaker at Whitelam Books in Reading, Massachusetts reading excerpts from literature (including fiction and poetry) as well as non fiction to reflect on the natural arc of our lives. Sairey shared reflections and anecdotes from her experience as a Grief Counselor to further personalize the conversation and moderated an open discussion after the readings. March 29, 2018 WZBC 90.3 Radio Hour: Expanding Awareness Hosted by Victor Venckus Sairey considered the genesis of The Death Cafe (see below for further description) and how to live richly so that we may live and die well. February 3, 2018 Pepperlane Forum: Empowering Mothers to Start and Grow their Business Panelist, Entrepreneurs' Panel: Beginnings, Bumps, and Biggest Surprises Sairey Luterman is a founding member of Pepperlane, a community of mother-owned businesses. She is a recipient of Pepperlane's entrepreneurship award for small businesses. She spoke on a panel at Pepperlane's inaugural conference, discussing strategies to help mothers grow their businesses. September 7, 2017 Death Cafe Lexington Lexington's Mary Ann Christie Burnside (Contemplative Educator, Spiritual Director, Hospice Volunteer) and Sairey Luterman (Certified Thanatologist, Grief Counselor) have brought Death Cafe to Lexington. They are committed to facilitating this important conversation in the Lexington community. Death Cafe offers the opportunity to discuss death and dying in pleasant surroundings with open-minded individuals. It's not a grief support group or an end-of-life planning program. Death Cafe provides time and space fore shared, confidential conversations about death, dying, and related views or beliefs. There are no right answers, only questions. And tea and cake.
